There has never been a more wishy-washy preacher on TV in America than Joel Osteen. Having no formal seminary or pastoral training (not that it's required, but it sure is obvious), Joel Osteen can't seem to give a Biblical answer to the simplest questions about the Christian faith. It's as if he is afraid to allow the truth to be known, or maybe he's afraid to alienate some of his followers. In any case, as a motivational speaker he is excellent! As a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he is pathetic!
