What is kingdom now teaching? (in a nutshell) - by Got Questions? Ministries
Dan Rhodes was one of the last pastors to leave Earl paulk's church as it was mired in one sexual scandal after another. Dan Rhodes was at one time for a period of about 3 years, my shepherding pastor. When I finally began to question Earl Paulk's teaching, I wrote at least three letters to Dan Rhodes, and spoke to him on the phone at least twice before I decided to leave that church since it was obvious that they were not interested in truth. Dan Rhodes has been strongly influenced by the teachings of Earl Paulk, therefore he and his ministry should be avoided.
The following quotes are from his Desiny Navigators website,"What we believe" page and are representative of the influence that Kingdom Now theology has over Dan Rhodes and his former association with EarlPaulk.
Note: all emphasis in Bold and underlined is mine.
"We believe God originally created mankind in the image and likeness of His character and nature with a divine commission to bear witness and represent His Kingdom (His righteousness government) on earth as it is in heaven."
We believe that Adam and Eve's original assignment was to corporately take dominion over Satan's evil influence on earth.
We believe the Kingdom of God is the present reality of God's rule and dominion through the Lord Jesus Christ in every sphere of existence in the universe.
We believe the redeemed of the Lord must provide a witness of God's rule within world systems in order for those kingdoms to either repent or be judged.
We believe in the restoration of all things that will culminate with the kingdoms of the world becoming the Kingdom of God.
