Senior Pastor of the Church of God, Preparing for the Kingdom of God (COG-PKG). It is a small Christian church that claims to provide "support, education and warning to the scattered Church that was formerly united in the Worldwide Church of God" (WCG). It is one of many groups that left the WCG after its sweeping doctrinal changes, and forms a part of the Sabbatarian Churches of God tradition that follows the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong. Ronald Weinland is an end time predictor, claiming to be one of the two last prophets (witnesses) from the book of Revelation, chapter 11, his wife being the second witness.
Ronald Weinland has written two books, The Prophesied End-Time (1994), which he claims is "...the product of what God has given him concerning prophetic end-time events that have already begun to be fulfilled, events that are occurring exactly as he has written in the book." And, 2008—God’s Final Witness , which he calls, "...a revelation of the Book of Revelation". From Ronald Weiland's personal website
On April 29th, 2012, Ronald Weiland wrote, "As readers of this site know, May 27, 2012, is the time that I have stated as being the date Jesus Christ will return as King of kings over all government on this earth. For such an event to come to pass, the Trumpets of Revelation must all sound, the United States and dollar collapse, the ten nations of Europe arise to fulfill the final revival of the Holy Roman Empire, and Russia with China must unite against Europe in WWIII." On May 25th, 2012, I sent Ronald Weiland an email through his personal blog contact asking this simple question: "...if May 28th arrives and Jesus has not returned, or World War III has not begun, will you declare yourself to be a false prophet?" I also stated that if he did not declare himself to be a false prophet after his failed prophecies, then I will do it for him on this website. However, I am confident that just as some of his other prophecies have failed, so will this one, after all, how many failed prophecies does it take to make a false prophet? Just one, in case you had to think about it. Therefore, today, May 25, 2012, I have no problem exposing Ronald Weinland as a false prophet (for the record, I have read some of his other predictions which have already failed. Read his books (see the links above) and Google his name and you will find more than enough information to reach the same conclusion.
On May 26th, 2012, after realizing that Jesus might not return as he had prophesied, Ronald Weinland wrote a message on his personal blog explaining his position. I have posted that message here on my website in case he decides to remove his original post. However, you can get it on his blog if he leaves it there. I suspect he will leave it and proceed with business as usual since he said that he will prepare his next sermon after he completes the message you are about to read.
God's Time - Here it is folks, Ronald Weinland has set a new date for Christ's return.
"Yes, the “Day of the Lord” is a year in actual length. May 27, 2012, was the beginning of the “Day of the Lord” when Jesus Christ will return on the final day of Pentecost 2013." See the entire post on his blog here.
