Wayne Dyer is not a Christian, however he is listed here because of the influence he has over Christians who don't know better. If you are a Christian who has bought into the teachings of Wayne Dyer, please spend some time comparing what he teaches vs what the Bible teaches and check out what others have to say about him.
Wayne Dyer is influenced by Abraham Maslow's concept of self-actualization, and by the teachings of Swami Muktananda whom he considers as his master.
Abraham Maslow found it difficult to accept religious experience as valid unless placed in a positivistic framework, focusing instead on a what he termed, positive psychology.
Thus, sin and evil, having negative ramifications have no place in spirituality. Abraham Maslow believed that only religious experience that is uplifting and positive is what makes religion valid. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Maslow.
Swami Muktananda taught the path he founded and named: the Siddha Yoga path. Central to his teachings were:
"See God in each other."
"Honor your Self. Worship your Self. Meditate on your Self. God dwells within you as you."
Muktananda often gave a shorter version of this teaching: "God dwells within you as you."
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muktananda
Wayne Dyer is also influenced by Deepak Chopra.
